Many of us take time for granted. The people who don’t take time for granted are the ones who know their time or their loved ones’ time is limited.
As a younger person, I thought of time as never-ending. As I grew older, I saw my grandparents pass away. That made sense. They were older and getting near the end of their lives. As I continued to get older, I saw my parents pass away. This hit a little closer to home but I was still thinking, they’re older and nearer the end of their lives.
I am continuing to get older and realizing that I don’t have as much time left as I used to.
I realize I am at a stage in my life where NOW is the time to do what it is I came here to do. I don’t believe I’m that close to the end of my life so I still have time, but still…
I intend to look into my unknown future and decide how I want it to go. What do I want to accomplish? Who do I want to become? What impact do I want to make – within myself, for my friends and family, for my community, my country and the world.
It might sound like a lot of work but it can happen in very small increments. It starts with an intention.
What do you intend for your life going forward?
What will you do with your time?
