Have you ever paused and really asked yourself this? What DO you plan to do with your wild and precious life? Lately, I’ve been reflecting deeply on this question for my own journey. I definitely have more life behind me than in front of me. I, like many of you, have experienced so much, learned so much, made many, many mistakes, matured (mostly…), and enjoyed the life I have had so far.

I had an especially powerful experience a few years ago that changed my life. As I learned more about who I really am, why I do what I do, and noticed patterns of behavior that no longer served me, I opened myself to a transformative new thought. As I was asking myself, “Who am I and why am I here?” I realized the answer was – I am me, here to share the unique gifts I was sent into this life with. I am the purpose and gift in my life, and I believe this is true for all of us. We each carry gifts, talents, abilities, hearts, and wisdom meant to be shared with the world.

Have you seen the documentary, My Octopus Teacher? It’s a beautiful and amazing story of the relationship between a diver and an octopus. She lived in a kelp forest, with big leaves. When she felt threatened or scared, she swam up to the kelp trees and with each of her 8 arms, would grab leaves and pull them around her so all you could see was her one eye peeking out.
This image, I believe, is exactly how we often shield ourselves inside. We cover over so many parts of ourselves because of fear, shame, guilt, feeling incompetent, and other heavy feelings. This causes us to hide—from ourselves and others. We don’t want them to see that we REALLY aren’t worthy or good enough to be loved or smart enough or pretty enough or just enough.

But here’s the truth you may already know deep down — we’re not here to hide from life. We’re here to live full out. To fulfill our true potential and be unapologetically ourselves.
The last thing I want is to be on my deathbed, feeling the crushing weight of regret because I didn’t live the way I wanted, didn’t have the experiences I longed for—all because of fear, doubt, or laziness.

Imagine waking up tomorrow feeling lighter, freer, and more alive because you finally decided to stop hiding and start living your wild and precious life fully. Can you already begin to see what might shift for you?

So here’s my invitation to you: Will you step into your true self starting today? Will you let go of the leaves you’ve wrapped around your heart and allow your light to shine?
Because when you do, you’ll not only transform your own life, you’ll inspire everyone around you to do the same.

If you’re ready to stop hiding and start living with boldness and purpose, I invite you to join me on this journey. Watch for an opportunity coming soon to discover how to unlock your fullest potential and embrace your wild and precious life—starting now.

To your wild and precious life,

Elaine
