When your doctor saw that your blood work revealed that you have diabetes or pre-diabetes, they probably told you to change your diet, reduce carbs, eliminate sugar, exercise more, all the important steps to help you reduce A1C, right?

You were probably a bit shocked at first and, if you are like most people, you went online searching for information, you may have bought some books on living with diabetes, you may even have attended some of my webinars and trainings on blood sugar control.

From all those resources you learned, repeatedly, about all the horrible issues that can happen if you don’t control your blood sugar.

Scary stuff, right?

Yet even though they (or you) know better, most women I have helped manage their blood sugar issues have told me how they eventually slipped back into their old habits, first an odd sweet treat, then a few slices of bread and before long their A1C is high again and they are back to square one and sometimes back to relying on medication again.

My point is you already know what to do to get your blood sugar in a healthy range … the questions you should be asking yourself now are much bigger:

“What causes me to eat the wrong foods?”

“What’s getting in the way of keeping my A1C under 6.0?”

“Why do I think I can’t get more out of life because of my blood sugar issues?”

“Why do I eat, then beat myself up with internal negative self-talk and feel guilty for days?”

The answers to those questions, and many others, are already inside you. They may be deep and not easy to find, but they are there if you have the courage to search for them.

The first step to uncover the answers is to go on an exciting, sometimes scary, but always enlightening journey of self-discovery.

When you find what has been holding you back from living your life the way you want to, you discover that you may have patterns of behavior and beliefs, ideas and thoughts that are old, automatic and deeply embedded in your subconscious. You may even be holding onto experiences and beliefs from your past that no longer serve you.

It takes courage to look inward because sometimes we’re afraid of what we might find out about ourselves.  But when you discover the answers, you become empowered to live your life with confidence, motivated to live the way you want and on your terms.

I call this approach “Inside Out – A Different Approach to your Life and Health” where I help women get started or continue on this journey of self-discovery. They find when they work through and release these patterns, they are able to connect with their inner wisdom that guides them to take actions to control their blood sugar and their lives for a fulfilling, healthy life.

If you are interested in learning more about how approaching your health and your life from the inside out, so you can lower your blood sugar, live a life you love and more, I’m inviting a small group of women for a live one hour online conversation on January 7, 2025 – Click here to learn more and claim your spot.

I’d love to see you there.

With gratitude and joy,

Elaine Stewart, CHC
