As you probably heard, I have changed my focus from working with women to control their blood sugar by monitoring carbs and calories to expanding my program to help women address their mindset to eliminate roadblocks and have the courage to make the changes they need to make to live a life they love.
The first group of women going through this new program; “Inside Out – A different approach to your life and health” are already experiencing eye opening results, both for them and for me.
We are no longer focusing on the “nuts and bolts” or “do’s or don’ts” of living a healthy life. Women already know what they should or shouldn’t do, but something prevents them from doing it, or at least doing it consistently. That “something” is what we need to address.
Those internal, sometimes invisible, roadblocks are the things that get in the way of us making changes in our lives to do the things we wish we had the courage to do.
These past weeks, the women in this new program have been able to identify their personal roadblocks and implement some impressive changes to their mindset that have really helped them to trust themselves and move forward. Things like deciding to track certain activities daily to identify the “why” of their daily routines that haven’t served them and making conscious changes to take a different action to accomplish their goals. In this way, they are letting go of procrastination, a big obstacle for many of us. One participant has had to deal with some very painful emotional issues and has received a lot of support from the group. All of us are working with our personalities to better understand why we react the way we do and how to better manage our internal state. We are working with our self-talk and the group has been able to use tools to identify the invisible or below-the-surface harshness of what they say to themselves. Once we can actually understand what we are saying to ourselves, this harsh, negative self-talk can be shifted to being positive and supportive.
If you are ready to make positive changes to your mindset and start living a life you love with confidence while being supported by other amazing women going through the same journey, I invite you to join my new, free Facebook group “Courageous Women Living from the Inside Out”. I will be closing down my old group; Women Managing Type 2 Diabetes Naturally by the end of November.
When you join the group, I’d love to send you an electronic copy of my new book: “The Courage to Trust – Transform Your Relationship with Fear” as a welcome gift.
I look forward to helping you live a life you love from the Inside Out love. See you on the inside!
